Dovefest is a FREE family friendly music festival in Doveridge, Derbyshire.
The event is run by volunteers and needs grants and financial support to pay for the significant costs of putting on the festival for FREE.
It has run since 2007 and in 2015 the event is attended by local people from Doveridge, Uttoxeter and surrounding villages, plus all those friends and family who come from far and wide and take up your spare rooms and sofa space!
The event gives people the chance to experience great music as a family and community in a fun and safe environment. It provides a great place for generations to meet, celebrate together and use our much loved local green space.
We are lucky to have the Doveridge First Responders and East Midlands Ambulance Service on hand for any medical needs, a fully SIA badged Security Team plus a team of volunteers on the day wearing Dovefest Hi-Vis who can help you with any queries.
Dovefest provides a great way for local people to come together to not only appreciate the music, but have some old-skool fun with that ‘fete’ feel in the afternoon; have a go on the coconut shy, check out the weird and wonderful animals at Nesta’s Ark and buy some lovely things from local artists, crafts and trades people.
Any profits made are split between local good causes and some is retained to help kick start the next festival. It costs a lot of pennies to put the event on and no organisers are paid, we do it for the fun!
It’s always a great idea to bring seats and a picnic blanket plus some cash to spend at the bar and at all the great stalls we have on the day. Dogs are welcome, but it goes without saying, please keep them on leads and under control and clean up after them.
When you spend at Dovefest you are helping to keep it a FREE festival for everyone!
